The Brief
Challenge
To mark its 30th cityhood anniversary, Muntinlupa wanted more than a record of milestones. The book had to capture a community that still dares to "Dream Big" — tracing three decades of rapid urbanization from humble municipality to a highly urbanized city, while speaking to residents, business partners, and visitors alike.
Approach
We structured the volume as both retrospective and blueprint, organized into five curated chapters: the historic transition to cityhood, the city's ambitious landmark projects, its adaptability in a digital era, the people at the heart of its progress, and its roadmap toward a resilient, ecologically balanced future.
Design Solution
The design moves between archival record and civic celebration — pairing documentary and aspirational photography, from the glowing skyline at dusk to the energy of local neighborhoods, with editorial typography that gives each chapter its own rhythm. The result is a volume that honors the past thirty years while looking squarely toward the horizon.
The Work
Muntinlupa's 30th cityhood anniversary called for a book that was part retrospective and part blueprint — a collective journal of a community that keeps daring to dream big.
We built the volume around five chapters, moving from the city's transition to cityhood through its ambitions, adaptability, people, and its roadmap for a resilient future.
The finished book is a visual celebration of the journey to cityhood — a reminder of how far the city has come, and a tribute to the people who make it home.
